Shell Survivor is a roguelite action survival game where you control a small egg carrying the trail of battle in an area teeming with purple aliens. Weapons fire automatically, and you must dodge attacks, collect materials, and upgrade your equipment to overcome 20 monsters and a final boss.
The interesting thing is that you don't need to constantly press the attack button. Weapons aim and fire automatically, with up to six weapons active simultaneously. You focus on dodging attacks, collecting materials, and finding a way to escape the ever-increasing swarms.
The first wave lasts only 20 seconds, but by the final wave, the battle time increases to 90 seconds, and you face the final boss. Shell Survivor forces players to change their movement patterns as the number of enemies increases, instead of just running aimlessly around the arena.

Materials dropped by aliens can be used for both purchases and to accumulate experience. Each time you level up, you choose one of four stat upgrades with varying rarity. After each wave, the shop opens so you can buy weapons, sell unnecessary items, or change your choices if you want to build a new fighting style.

A notable mechanism is weapon merging. Two identical weapons at the same level can be combined into a more powerful version, up to level 4. Therefore, buying more equipment isn't necessarily better than keeping the right items for upgrades.
The graveyard setting has only one map, but the increasing difficulty creates various challenges. Players can deploy turrets, minefields, or healing support items to control the area. After completing 20 waves, you can unlock the next Danger level; the Endless mode is for those who want to test the limits of their built gear.
You can also return with a different character, try new weapon combinations, or conquer Nightmare. Notably, the progress of an unfinished round is saved to continue later.
Shell Survivor is suitable for those who like dodging bullets, optimizing equipment, and finding a way to turn a small egg into a fighting machine against hordes of aliens.
