- Change your pace: Do not hurry to push the starting button soon. Stress smoothness. The best speed is usually found at a steady tempo, about 4.9 to 5.0 beats per second. Watch your pace on screen and make adjustments.
- Controlling stamina (for long distances): In distances like the 400m or 800m, you cannot go full throttle from the beginning. Tuck it up for the home stretch.
- Hurdles: Approach the hurdles and press and hold the Down Arrow button to get into the hurdle position. The more consistent you are with your actions, the more fluid the jump over the hurdle will be.
- Review and Learn: Speed Stars allows you to review your runs. It’s a terrific tool for looking at your faults and finding places to improve.
